Brendan Allen is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the UFC’s middleweight division. Originally from Mississippi, Allen trained in boxing and wrestling in high school before studying criminal justice at Southeastern Louisiana University. Subsequently, he then joined Clementi’s Gladiator Academy to train further in MMA. Additionally, Allen won the 2015 IMMAF Amateur Middleweight Championship. He started his professional career fighting for various promotions, winning the Legacy Fighting Alliance middleweight title.
In 2019, Allen signed with the UFC after submitting Aaron Jeffery. He won his debut against Kevin Holland and replaced fighters like Ian Heinisch. Though losing to Sean Strickland in late 2020, Allen rebounded by submitting Karl Roberson. He won bouts in 2021 against Punahele Soriano and Jacob Malkoun, earning a bonus for the latter.
